Form Help

I have created my first form but it doesn't work. The compnents of the form work but when I hit submit I get an error message. Where did I mess up? I have it saved an a html file. Is that right? I have it uploaded like any other page. Is that wrong? I know nothing about CGI-BIN was it supposed to go in there? TIA for any help.

He said FORM, not FORUM. Anyways, if you are using something such as formmail.cgi (or.pl), it needs to be uploaded and you need to change the permissions. And yes, it should be uploaded to the CGI-BIN. However, some scripts allow you to use it anywhere.


If you are using Control Panel 3, the code is already uploaded and the permissions changed. Just go to the CGI Scripts and choose FORM MAIL. It should say something like an edited version from Matt's Script Archive. It will give you the location of Form Mail on your account. And all you have to do is change the URL to the script in the HTML you created for the form.
