Pic shows up fine for me, using NS6.1.
s man: it's a jpg file, so why would bmp be a factor (or AOL... just curious :) )?

when downloading pics or scanning pics bmp is the format most pc use. sometimes gif comes up as art if your using IE to download. netscape sometimes has trouble with jpg.

Well now this is wierd....
I can't exactly FIND what version of Netscape I'm using. I have Netscape Communicator and under the tools section of that, I can get to Netscape Navigator. But I have searched my PC for the program Netscape Navigator and can't find it. Odd.... I think it may be version 4.01 though.

it must be old because newer netscape say what they are in there icon or short cut.

I just noticed that you are accessing the image this way, "src="\soap\soapbasket.jpg".
This is windows style path and might very well not work in older borwsers. convert your backslashes(\) to forward ones (/), so that your code is like this.
src="/soap/soapbasket.jpg"
One other thing: /soap/soapbasket.jpp will look for /home/yourusername/public_html/soap/soapbasket.jpg , Just though I'd let you know if you didn't know that already.

It was the backslash. Thank you everybody for your help. Did you ever sit at your computer so long that by the end of the day, you're lucky to remember where the ENTER key is???? Gawd, I think I'm there..... thanks again.

I think netscape isnt too far from the work of the devil.
Ive recently been furiously frustrated with it.
Well thats my input on netscape browers.
If you think theyre good at not displaying the right stuff on pc's , try it on macs lol!

showed just fine on webtv (2.7) Joey if you think netscape is bad try webtv. we only see gif.jpg.swf.mpeg.mpg.jpeg. and windows media player (if we don't mind the fairly good chance of getting knocked offline. we hear: mid,mod,au.wav.ram(same comment as WMPs), and a few others. wavs and mp3s sound like absolute s##t. rams can kill a webtv unit by tweaking the softmodem irreparably.
