Is there a way to modify the web-counter code line that the control panel CGI webcounter provides so that it doesn't count every single time a user hits a page? I'd like it to record just one hit per user IP a day, but heck if I can figure out how to do that via this web counter.

Alternately, if anybody knows a nice simple webcounter that I can set up that way, I'd appreciate that, too... Thanks!

Here are a few counters that seem to have what you're looking for. :)

InstaCounter (http://www.hotscripts.com/Detailed/11897.html) ( You can modify the way repeat visitors are handled)

Basic Hit Counter (http://www.hotscripts.com/Detailed/9472.html) ( You can set it count visits not re-loads)

Matrix Counter (http://www.hotscripts.com/Detailed/1632.html) (Keeps a daily IP log to avoid counting re-loads)
