Internetradio and MS Messenger security threats?

Hi all,
It seems here are a few people that are well oriented in securityquestions.
One often hear that listen to Internetradio via Winamp and using MSN Messenger should be regarded as security threats. Can someone bring some light into this or point some url where it is discussed?

Hi,

Pretty much anything that connects to an external system these days are considered security threats. ('these days' - i sound old:eek:)

But seriously, there is no definate way to hack-proof your system.

I'm not too sure about any winamp updates but i know msn constantly has security fixes for msn almost every other day lol.

Have you tried checking google (or even better, google groups) about this.
