Hi,

Could someone who has an active reseller account with name servers and IP address please post their Web site URL.

I'm trying to see how private-label it is.

Thanks!

Hiya,

http://www.hillcrestglass.co.uk should do it.

It's just a parked domain at the moment but it's set with my own nameservers :)

Thank you for the URL.

I am glad I got to see a reseller account. I have two issues with how private-label reseller accounts are.

First, the most serious. When someone goes to the second name server (either via hostname or via IP address) it goes directly to 100megswebhosting.com.

Second, not so much serious, but still a concern. An alias is set to some prank site. And I noticed this for every domain from here from my network lookups.

Hi,

That might be my own fault. My sites are on a dedicated IP address (little prankster was one of them). That's probably the site the alias is looking to.

Which tools or site were you looking at to check these?

Yes, I liked the dedicated IP. It worked great. When someone does a DNS lookup on the domain and use that IP it goes directly to your Web site.

My problem is with the secondary name server. It goes directly to 100megswebhosting.com.

Regarding the prank site, it is the same for every account hosted with this company. It's not really a problem, but I would prefer something else such as a default server page for the sake of private-labelling.

I assume you work with this company (or own it) that your little prankster site is resolving as alias.

Anyway, later on I will write in the tech support area and ask if there is a way to request a complete private-label solution to reselling.

I'm looking at some other companies, but I still like this one because of all the positive things I am reading here and quick fixes for problems people write. Hopefully I can find a solution. :)

Oh ya, two good sites that I use to do network lookups are network-tools.com and zoneedit.com.
